You can permanently delete your Shahmat account right now. This page explains what happens.
What gets deleted
- Email, phone number, password, username, profile photo, and "about me" text.
- Friendships, follows, pending game invites, notifications.
- Messages you wrote in the public lobby, club chat, in-game chat, your inbox, and club channel posts.
- Club memberships and join requests, puzzle attempts, Rush/Storm/puzzle-battle records.
What stays (anonymized)
- Games you played — shown as "Deleted player" instead of your name, since they're part of your opponents' history and rating.
- Past tournament / club-match standings — with the same label.
- Reports you filed (with the reporter's name removed), and anti-cheat/moderation data — kept only to prevent abuse, for [[anti-cheat / moderation data retention period]] (see the privacy policy).
Before deletion happens
- Any game you have in progress is resigned to your opponent — with no penalty.
- If you're the sole owner of a club, ownership transfers to its oldest admin (or member); if no one else is left, the club is deleted.
This cannot be undone.
Steps in the app
- Settings
- Delete account (red button, near the bottom)
- Read the consequences, enter your password or code
- Tap "Permanently delete account"
